Food for Soul


Food for Soul is a cultural project founded by Chef Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore to shine light on the invisible potential of people, places and food.

Food for Soul is a non-profit organization founded by chef Massimo Bottura which aims to increase social awareness on issues such as food waste and hunger. Food for Soul is not a charity project, but a cultural project, which aims to encourage private and public organizations to create canteens all over the world and thus promote the value of recovery.

In these years the Refettorio Ambrosiano of Milan, the Bolognese of the Antoniano, the RefettoRio, have been realized and are still active, in collaboration with the voluntary association Gastromotiva, which has been operating in Brazil for many years, and the Refettorio Felix of London, in popular area of ​​west London.

In 2018 the Refettorio Paris opened its doors thanks to the collaboration between Food for Soul and Le Foyer de la Madeleine, in the heart of Paris, and the Refettorio In Napoli, inside the cloister of Santa Caterina in Formiello, a cultural and aggregative available to a popular district of the city.
